She has assisted major software manufacturers, large drug companies, national retailers, as well as a variety of small business owners in enforcement and protection of their intellectual property, including copyrights and trademarks. She also has defended her clients against the infringement allegations of others and is experienced in negotiating settlements where advisable. Donna also has extensive experience in the application of intellectual property law to the procurement and use of domain names, meta-tags, internet advertising and search engines. Donna has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of intellectual property disputes, including in federal courts, before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and in UDRP arbitrations involving domain names. She recently assisted real estate owners in enforcing their trade secrets in the area of energy conservation and counseled a non-profit organization regarding allegations of past due copyright royalties. Donna also has directed federal marshals in the seizure of counterfeit software on behalf of a national software seller, represented clients accused of infringing patents on ballpoint pens and negotiated licenses for the use of trademarks on sportswear, websites and educational materials.
